In celebration of Women’s History month, I wanted to take a moment to re-center myself on my self-love journey. And really just allow myself a moment to appreciate my now three and a half year postpartum body. A body that has changed, grown, and is finally loved. We’ve officially entered year two of trying to conceive and I found myself forgetting to feel thankful for my body. I was slowly forgetting to recognize it for its incredible worth rather than its bits of discomfort or what I perceived to be less than enough. So I sat down and jotted down a few empowering affirmations for it. I wanted to remember my own worth. And make a real effort to repeat them as often as possible throughout the entire month.
I encourage you to read them out loud. Soak them in. And allow yourself to believe them, even for just a small moment. That’s how self-love begins. You may feel some cognitive dissonance or discomfort as your inner voice may resist into allowing these thoughts to resonate with your mind, body and spirit. Keep going.
